Sometimes you need to scan a QRCode while sitting at your desktop computer and you do not want to pull out your phone to do it. You could take a screenshot and upload it to a website to let it decode, but no, why not using a simple webapplication to scan it?

I wrote an JavaFX application today.

Simply click HERE, accept the signature, move the window above the code (and adjust the size), press Enter you will get the result!

It is simple, but powerful. More features and better usability can be discussed. You can also save the application on your drive for later use.

Requirements for Windows: Java 6 Update 10. Works with latest Java Update on MacOSX. Get the latest Java for your browser. This application takes advantage of the javaFX transparent window feature. Decoding is powered by zxing.
